E3 Analytics was founded in 2009 as an independent consultancy focusing on the economic and environmental aspects of energy markets. In the years since, it has had offices in Fredericton (Canada), in London (UK), as well as in Berlin, Germany, where it is now based.
Since its founding it has advised senior government officials in over fifty countries around the world, mainly on renewable energy policy, strategy, and financing.
What We Do:
E3 Analytics works to accelerate renewable energy deployment and improve energy access in jurisdictions worldwide. Its work is divided into four broad areas: 1) Market analysis and research; 2) Renewable energy policy, economics, and finance, 3) Energy access, and 4) Training and capacity building.
In the process, it covers a number of topics at the cutting edge of the energy industry, including how to achieve high shares of renewable energy, how to combine reliability, affordability and resilience into energy planning, how to scale-up electric mobility, as well as how new business models are re-shaping the energy sector as a whole.
Who We Work For:
Throughout its work, E3 Analytics works closely with a wide range of public and private partners active in the energy sector, including with international institutions such as the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), REN21, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforAll), the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), as well as with national governments, energy regulators, and city governments.
E3 Analytics also partners actively with a number of other leading consultancies and NGOs spanning the sector and it regularly advises private sector clients on market development, new business models, and country-specific analyses.
